Are you new to this “Web Stuff”? Are you looking to get your head around your whole business, your brand identity and your niche? I bet it feels a little overwhelming doesn’t it?

You are not alone. Every business experiences what you are going through right now. It really helps if you have someone on your team who can assist you with your whole business identity, get you on the right track with all those technical thingies like your newsletter, Twitter, Facebook and even LinkedIn. What about that thing called AdWords? What about blogging? Is it all a different language to you? It doesn’t have to be anymore!

Business is not only about making money, it’s creating “relationships” and you need to start your business on the correct foot. It’s about having the overall look and feel that distinguishes you in your niche and from the rest of the kids on the block. This is an imperative step in the correct direction.

What about all your marketing and advertising? What do you know about your target market? Do you know where your market hangs out and where they would most likely look for your services? What would catch your eye in regards to your brochures, your particular wording or the information on your website?

The most important aspect of your business is your identity online. How is you’re business going at the moment online? Is it something that needs development in the long term in order to generate a passive income? What products will you be selling? What will those products look like? Did you know that the overall look of your packaging will determine if a customer purchases the product in the final stages via checkout?

From all this information, these should be your Top 7 branding goals:

  1. A logo / identity which represents your business in it’s highest standards.
  2. A whole brand / advertising identity that works both online and in print.
  3. Spectacular packaging design so that your overall image is of it’s highest standard
  4. An informative website, not about you, but about what problems you can solve for your Clients. No one cares who you are, they want you to solve a particular issue in their lives.
  5. Launching your product online, how to generate lists to sell your products to writing sales letters and how to target your niche in the correct way – sales.
  6. How to get your website out there on the www through networks, sights and ad words.

A tad bit about me..

My design career started well over 12 years ago. It was my art teacher who encouraged me to pursue design. She was mortified when I told her I wanted to become an artist when I left school. “Rubbish Angela, if you become an artist you will always be poor”, she said. Startled I replied “Well miss, what you think I should do? I only know how to draw and take great photos”. She looked at me and smiled…”You must become a graphic designer, that is where the future is heading, computers and graphics as well as the money too darling”. I was shocked, she said the word I hated most in the world…”Miss, I HATE computers!! I can’t stand them and I failed computer studies big time…” The rest they say is history.
Now I can’t live without my beautiful Mac book pro and all the added chunky programs I have. Can’t believe I even said the ‘H’ word back then about my babe – silly girl!!
Anyway, back to the normal stuff.
After graduating with a diploma in Graphic Design, I transitioned towards a University degree in Visual Communications. After boredom set in, I decided to place my skills to good use, the hands on approach (and the best one yet I believe). I’ve worked within graphic studios, large in-house organisations. Australia’s first online pharmacy, Magazine design, publishing and corporate banking. My passion is typography, logo design, Photoshop and of course social media.
So that’s just a tad bit about me. Have a look at my portfolio. I’m always updating, changing and implementing new material. Stay tuned for more interesting and stocky projects I’ve set my sites on.
P.S. I LOVE Helvetica Neue LT
